Sadly the government has announced that all sport & exercise venues in England, including indoor & outdoor skateparks, must close during this new national lockdown.
Wherrytown Skatepark is now closed until further notice.
Latest guidance from Skateboard GB:
- You may leave the place you are living to take exercise outside.
- Outdoor skateboarding should only take place on your own, with household members or with one other person.
- In all circumstances, social distancing (2 metres) and hygiene protocols (washing hands & disinfecting surfaces) should used.
- Skateboard coaching can continue outside on a one-to-one basis, maintaining social distancing and hygiene protocols
What next?
We will continue to review any updated guidance from the UK government and Skateboard GB on the lifting of restrictions and hope to re-open soon.
