Heamoor

Heamoor

Heamoor is a rural village just over a mile northwest of Penzance.

Within walking distance of beautiful country walks, Heamoor is a small village with a strong sense of community. The village initially grew in the 1800s with the need for labourers at the nearby farms.

Today it is home to a thriving Scout community for young people aged 6 – 18, with a history of over one hundred years of Scouting in the area. The village has also been involved in ‘Taves an Tir’ – a National Lottery Heritage Funded project focusing on Cornish language in the landscape, run by Kowethas an Yeth Kernewek. The village also has an active British Legion branch who meet once a month, a locally run pub, and a small number of shops.
