In a nutshell, they are clean and accessible toilet facilities in the community which are free for everyone to use.
The Penzance Community Toilet Scheme has been developed in partnership with local community-focused businesses to help boost our existing public toilet services.
There’s a big range of opening hours and the facilities are located across the Parish of Penzance (including Newlyn, Heamoor, and Gulval) at local cafes, pubs, restaurants, and art galleries.
NO!
All the businesses taking part in the scheme receive funding from us so you don’t need to spend a penny!
We currently work with 12 local businesses to provide Community Toilets across the Parish, including Penzance, Newlyn, and Heamoor.
How to find them:
1. Look out for this sign which our partner businesses will have displayed in their window:
2. Pick up one of our leaflets with a handy map from our Reception or download one here:

We are always keen to hear from businesses who would like to join the scheme.
We would like to extend the scheme to include Mousehole so are especially interested in hearing from businesses in the village who would like to join.
If your business would like to be added to the waiting list or you would like to find out more about how the scheme could work for you, please contact our offices by email or phone.
If you have any questions about the scheme the Council’s Leisure & Amenities Team are happy to help – you can contact them by email or phone Monday – Friday.
