Penzance Council has two public events planned as the Parish prepares to remember those who have made the ultimate sacrifice.
Remembrance Sunday – Sunday 9 November
The Remembrance Sunday Parade and Service will take place on Sunday 9 November.
The service will take place outdoors at the War Memorial at Battery Rocks and will be led by Rev Derath Durkin. The Council is pleased to confirm the Cornish language will again feature prominently in the service, with translated prayers read by Judith Lawrence.
Due to essential gas works by Wales & West Utilities at The Greenmarket, this year the Remembrance Sunday Parade will begin from the top of Chapel Street at Queens Square, rather than from the usual muster point of St John’s Hall.
