It’s time for the town’s annual St Piran’s Day celebrations!
The ever-popular St Piran Furry and St Piran Concert will be returning to Penzance again for March 2024!
Organised by St Piran in Penwith, with grant funding from Penzance Council, Penzance will host children from across the Penwith area dancing the St Piran Furry in the town and a special Cornish Concert held at St John’s Hall.
What’s on?
Monday 4 March – Cornish Concert
A special Cornish Concert at St John’s Hall with performances from a combined choir of school children from the Penwith area and Penzance Guizers.
Tickets are available on the door:
Adults: £5 | Children: £1
Tuesday 5 March – St Piran Furry
Local school children will be dancing the St Piran Furry through Causewayhead and Morrab Gardens accompanied by the Mayor of Penzance and the Town Crier.
(Please note: the Penzance Council offices will be closed on Tuesday 5 March)

Road closure
A road closure will be in place for the St Piran Furry on Tuesday 5 March from 10am – 12noon. The roads affected will be:
- Causewayhead
- Parade Street
- St Marys Terrace
- Morrab Gardens
- Access To Rear Of Morrab Terrace And Morrab Gardens
- Morrab Terrace
- South Parade
- Morrab Place
- Morrab Road
- Buriton Row
Grant funding from Penzance Council
St Piran in Penwith has received £3,000 grant funding from Penzance Council will cover the costs of rigging and de-rigging the St Piran flags in the town, public liability insurance, rent of St John’s Hall and saffron buns for all the children taking part!
