We’re extending the opening hours of some of our public toilets again for Mazey Eve, Mazey Day and Quay Fair Day 2026
Tourist Information Centre & South Pier Public Toilets Opening Times:

All of our other public toilets will remain with their usual opening times:
- Alexandra Play Park: 8:30am – 6:30pm
- Newlyn: 8am – 7:30pm
- Penalverne: 8:30am – 5:30pm (Saturday and Sunday only)
- Princess May Rec: 8:30am – 6:30pm
- Wherrytown: 8am – 7:30pm
Community Toilets:
In addition to our public toilets, there are 8 Community Toilets in Penzance town centre and a further 4 across the wider Parish (including Newlyn and Heamoor).

Opening times vary (please check individual business opening times).
All the businesses taking part in the scheme receive funding from Penzance Council to open up their toilet facilities to the public so you don’t need to spend a penny!
Penzance Council & Golowan

Golowan Festival receives strategic funding from Penzance Council. This year we have provided £42,583 in funding to Golowan Festival (which includes funding for the Golowan Youth provision and the famous Mazey Eve fireworks!)
