Grant funded by Penzance Council

Which groups have been awarded funding?

At our Finance & General Purposes Committee meeting on Monday 19 February 2024, Councillors voted to award £6,000 in grant funding to local community organisations:

How will the funding be used?

Penzance LitFest

Our funding to Penzance LitFest will help cover the costs of staging their events (venue hire, technical support) and allow them to keep their 2023 ticket prices for the 2024 festival, ensuring as many people as possible can access these inspiring events!

St Piran in Penwith

Our funding to St Piran in Penwith will cover the costs of rigging and de-rigging the St Piran flags in the town, public liability insurance, rent of St John’s Hall and a saffron bun for all the children taking part!

How to apply for grant funding

We provide grants to local community groups and charities who are working to benefit our residents and our Parish environment – find out more about our grants and how to apply.
