Have your say on proposed changes to traffic layout to improve pedestrian access to Newlyn Green across New Road

What’s it all about?

Cormac on behalf of Cornwall Council is inviting comments on a proposal to improve pedestrian access to Newlyn Green across New Road, Penzance.

The scheme incorporates a VAS (Vehicle Activated Sign) sign displaying 20mph and two new signalised, raised table puffin crossings. These are intended to provide safe, improved access, across New Road into Newlyn Green, for all pedestrians including those in wheelchairs, or with prams.

This proposal is the first in a collection of measures formulating part of the Town Deal Sustainable Transport Improvements for Penzance.
