Real Living Wage Research in Penzance – fill in the survey!

6th September 2021 in Local News

The University of Exeter are researching employment challenges in Penzance and need to hear your views

Participants are needed for a short survey (20 minutes) designed to explore the employment challenges and opportunities facing people in Penzance.

What’s it all about?

The University of Exeter (Penryn campus) is working with the Penzance Business Improvement District (BID), and local Councillors and Officers at Cornwall Council to understand the potential benefits and challenges of increasing wages across Penzance to the Real Living Wage (currently set at £9.50/hr, 59p above the National Living (or Minimum) Wage).

They are looking for input from people employed in Penzance and the wider area to help shape a shared agenda for future employment in Penzance.

Completing the survey

Your participation is completely anonymous, and you will not be asked for any identifying details such as name or employer. To say thank you for taking part, they will randomly choose 4 participants to receive a £50 Amazon voucher

If you have any concerns or queries about this research please contact Claire Collins at the Penryn campus of the University of Exeter ([email protected]). The results will be shared via the BID website and social media platforms.

The survey will close on Friday 24 September 2021.
