Penzance Council supports the White Ribbon UK campaign – to end violence against women and girls.
At our last Full Council meeting on 1st November 2021, Councillors unanimously voted to:
- sign up to become a White Ribbon Supporter Organisation
- to make White Ribbon Day part of the Civic Calendar
- to encourage all Councillors and staff to take the pledge
Abuse and violence are a choice and there is no excuse for them. Domestic abuse happens throughout every level of society, regardless of health, wealth and status.
