West Cornwall Hospital’s Urgent Treatment Centre has extended its opening hours
Yesterday, the Royal Cornwall Hospital NHS Trust (RCHT) announced extended opening hours for West Cornwall Hospital’s Urgent Treatment Centre (UTC). The UCT will now be open from 8am until midnight, seven days a week.
At it’s Full Council meeting held on Monday 17 July, Penzance Councillors voted to support the reinstatement of the 24/7 Urgent Treatment Centre at West Cornwall Hospital. These new extended hours announced by RCHT will be welcome news for residents in West Cornwall and, whilst many groups and local councillors have called for the reinstatement of the 24 hour service, this is a step in the right direction for local hospital services in our area!
