We’re extending the opening hours of some of our public toilets again for Mazey Eve and Mazey Day 2024
Friday 28th – Mazey Eve:
- TIC Toilets: 8am – 10:30pm
- South Pier Toilets: 7:30am – 10:30pm
Saturday 29th – Mazey Day:
- TIC Toilets: 8am – 9pm
- South Pier Toilets: 7:30am – 9pm
All of our other public toilets will remain with their usual opening times:
- Alexandra Play Park: 8:30am – 6:30pm
- Newlyn: 8am – 7:30pm
- Penalverne: 8:30am – 5:30pm (Saturday and Sunday only)
- Princess May Rec: 8:30am – 6:30pm
- Wherrytown: 8am – 7:30pm
Community Toilets:
In addition to our public toilets, there are 8 Community Toilets in Penzance town centre and a further 5 across the wider Parish (including Newlyn, Heamoor, and Gulval).

Opening times vary (please check individual business opening times).
All the businesses taking part in the scheme receive funding from Penzance Council to open up their toilet facilities to the public so you don’t need to spend a penny!
Penzance Council & Golowan
Golowan Festival receives grant funding from Penzance Council. This year we are providing £34,300 in grant funding to Golowan Festival CIC (which includes funding for a youth engagement project ‘Golowan Youth Take Over’ and the famous fireworks on Mazey Eve!)
