Trade unions have announced further industrial action for later this month

Update – 9 September

Following yesterday’s very sad news, the industrial action planned by trades unions for Thursday 15 September, Saturday 17 September, Monday 26 September and Tuesday 27 September has been called off.

Normal full timetables will therefore operate.

Rail strikes planned for September that are likely to affect Penzance:

  • Thursday 15
  • Saturday 17
  • Monday 26
  • Tuesday 27

More information from GWR:

GWR have warned that on strike days train services will be severely disrupted and some parts of the GWR network will have no train service at all. Train services on the days following the industrial action will also be disrupted.

Where services do run they are expected to be extremely busy and bus replacement services can not be provided. Online journey checkers are expected to be updated with the latest timetable information as soon as possible.

Please keep checking the GWR industrial action web page for the latest information on changes to timetables and how journeys will be affected.
