Plans of works:

Phased works will take place over the following dates:

  • Phase 1 (20 April – 13 May): Four-Way traffic lights at The Coombe Crossroads to install a new footpath
  • Phase 2 (14 – 21 May): Two-way traffic lights on New Road to install a new pedestrian crossing point
  • Phase 3 (1-12 June): Two-way traffic lights near the war memorial and on Creeping Lane to create the pedestrian area on the bridge
  • Phase 4 (15 – 22 June): Two-way traffic lights on The Strand near the China Garden Takeaway and The Star Inn to install an extension to the footpath

Please note: the schedule may be subject to change once works begin.
