New councillors co-opted to fill vacancies

On Monday 2 June, at an Extraordinary Penzance Council Meeting, four councillor vacancies were filled by co-option following presentations from a number of candidates.

The successful candidates who were voted in as new councillors are:

David Smart-Knight (Heamoor & Gulval Ward)

Phillip Jameson (Newlyn & Mousehole Ward)

Karen Baker (Penzance Promenade Ward)

Marc Hadley (Newlyn & Mousehole Ward)
