The Mayor and Councillors of Penzance invite the people of Penzance Parish to attend the Annual Town Meeting being held virtually via Zoom and Facebook Live on Monday 12 April 2021 at 7:00pm.
The agenda for the meeting, and minutes of the previous meeting, can be found on our meetings page.
What happens at a Town Meeting?
The Annual Town Meeting is a chance to meet your Councillors and find out about issues and projects that affect everyone in the town. It’s also an opportunity for you to raise matters with the Council and ask questions.
Who is it for?
All the electors of Penzance Parish.
Who are the electors?
Anyone aged 18 or over who is registered to vote and is resident in Penzance, Newlyn, Mousehole, Paul, Heamoor, or Gulval
Is it just a lot of facts and figures?
Not at all!
There will be a review by the Mayor of the activities of Penzance Council during the last year and there will also be information on key developments and projects which will impact on the town’s future. Members of the public will be able to ask questions of the Councillors at the end of the meeting.
This will provide an ideal opportunity for community groups and members of the public to find out more about activities and events taking place within the Parish community and also to meet and chat with your Town Councillors.
How can I ask questions?
Members of the public wishing to speak at the meeting, should contact us to obtain a Zoom invitation by 9am on Monday 12th April 2021.
Please note: questions will not be taken from the comments posted on Facebook – if you have a question you will need to contact us in advance.
The Mayor and Councillors hope that as many people as possible will attend the meeting.
The town belongs to everyone and we should all have a voice in its future!
