Unfortunately, due to Covid-19 restrictions, the Christmas Lights Switch On will be a little different this year

The recent restrictions have been very challenging for local businesses in the town and we are behind schedule with connecting the lights to their electrical timers due to not being able to access business properties this week.

There will not be a coordinated light switch on as previously planned on Saturday 28th November; lights will be switched on at different times over the coming days.

We understand that businesses are currently focused on re-opening next week, when lockdown restrictions are lifted, so we are continuing to work closely with them to ensure that all lights are connected over the coming weeks.

The Christmas Lights in Penzance are a real community effort and we greatly appreciate the support of local businesses in the town to put them up each year.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.
