Penzance Promenade Banners temporarily lowered due to wind gusts

Published: 23rd July 2021 in category: Council News, Penzance

The Penzance Promenade Banners have temporarily been lowered due to the forecasted wind gusts later today.

Due to the exposed coastal location of the Promenade, if winds are gusting above 35mph, the banners need to be temporarily lowered.

This is on the recommendation of the flagpole manufacturer to protect the integrity of the poles and will also prevent accidental damage to the fabric of the promenade.

We hope to reinstate the banners on the weekend depending on the wind forecast.
