The Post Office have now confirmed that a temporary Post Office Mobile service will begin in the village from Thursday 30 September 2021.

The current Mousehole branch, providing postal services to the local community, will close on 25 September 2021 due to the resignation of the postmaster. The Mobile service will be introduced as a temporary measure whilst they continue to seek a permanent solution.

Where will the new service be?

The mobile service will be based at The Solomon Browne Memorial Hall Car Park, provided by the postmaster from St Clare Street Post Office in Penzance.

The service will be available every Thursday from 12:15pm-1:30pm

To accommodate this new service in Mousehole there will be some changes to the current Mobile services, also provided by St Clare Street Post Office, at Newlyn and Carbis Bay from 30 September 2021 – more information can be found on the Post Office website.

Interested in taking on the Mousehole branch?

The Post Office would welcome any applications from potential retail partners interested in running the branch locally on their behalf.

The vacancy will be advertised on the Post Office website: Find Post Office opportunities near Penzance – Run a Post Office and applications will be carefully considered.
